Dr. Andres Albanese is a consultant on high-speed networks.  His current interest is the design and implementation of networking equipment for telecommunication and information systems.  Previously, at The International Computer Science Institute (ICSI), in Berkeley, California, he was Group Leader of Computer Networks; at Bellcore (Telcordia), he was  Director of Broadband Interworking and Director of Metropolitan Area Networks; at Bell Telephone Laboratories (Bell-Labs), he was Supervisor of Local Area Networks and Member of Staff of Fiber Optic Systems.

Andres holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Science in the same field from the University of Texas at Austin, and an  "Ingeniero Electricista" degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela, as well as 15 patents and many publications in the areas of fiber optics, broadband communications, and high-speed computer networks.

Andres Albanese is fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish and travels frequently to lecture on the topic of  "Technology Trends in the Networked Society". Recently, as part of Realtime Information, Berkeley, California, Dr. Albanese has been consulting for various universities, governments and law firms.
